Crawling out from beneath the Rock

For everyone who's wondering why I've vanished for the past few weeks, here's why.

There's still a heckuva lot to be done on the project, but now that the first chunk is done, I ought to have a little breathing room for the finer joys of life. Like, oh... writing, and stuff.

The project looks good, Nancy, but you probably want to fix the HTML in the link.

Hope things keep going well.

Doh! I hate the way LJ handles unspecified links... Okay, it's fixed now.

Looks like a very good idea!

How much will it be opened up to other writers than those listed so far?

Dec. 14th, 2007 09:11 pm (UTC)
Over time, I'd like to open it up quite a bit. The idea is that the site will become a showcase sorts for writers, where they can present early stories that may no longer be in print.

Sort of like having perpetual back-issues of several dozen magazines at your fingertips...

Very cool! (Must peruse more fully later!)

Hey, that's pretty awesome. Great idea!

Congratulations, Nancy. And good luck with this project.

P.S. Your bio still says " ... editorial associate for Jim Baen's Universe ... "

You need to update that to "assistant editor of ... " so that it matches the magazine masthead. Of course, if you want to go with your real title -- Supreme Slushpuppy -- that would work too.

"Supreme Slushpuppy" is just so much cooler than "The Slush God" or "Slushmaster." :-)

Oh, yeah, that's a good point. Profile changed.

And yeah, Supreme Slushpuppy is about the coolest title anybody could have, IMO. *grin*

Extremely Cool! See what happens when a computer geek becomes an SF writer and marries a marketer!

It looks like an interesting idea. I noticed that there's a Guidelines section. Are you looking for subs?
Dec. 17th, 2007 03:49 pm (UTC)
Yup. We're officially open to submissions :)

Oh good. I just sent you one. :)
